TCL had just recently announced its entry into the Indian market with the introduction of the TCL 560 smartphone. Soon after that, the company launches a new smartphone, the TCL 562, along with a list of TVs with screen sizes ranging from 32-inch to 48-inch.
The TVs are modeled L32D2900, L40D2900, L43P1US, and C48P1FS. The price range is set from Rs. 13,990 to Rs. 37,990. Let’s check about each of the TVs in detail.
TCL L32D2900 32-inch HD Ready TV
This HD ready TV has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and it has 2 HDMI, 2 USB ports. The TV has Cinema Mode, Sports Mode, Multiple language display and it has LED backlight. The unit supports MP3, WMA, Dolby AC3 and MPEG2, MPEG4 (H.264) Video Coding. There’s 5W x 2 audio output. The TV is priced at Rs. 13,990.

TCL L40D2900 40-inch Full HD LED TV
This TV comes with a Full HD resolution, i.e. 1920 x 1080 pixels. There are two 8W speakers included and the TV has some features including Cinema Mode, Dolby Digital Plus Speaker, Adaptive Backlight dimming. There are two HDMI and two USB ports, and the TV offers a wide angle view of up to 178-degree.
The other external inputs in the TV are 1 VGA (supports computer monitor function, resolution up to SXGA), 1 Component Input (YPbPr – supports most of the DVD players, resolution up to 720p), CVBS + Stereo L/R input (supports most of the video output devices, including VCR), 1 SPDIF (supports professional AV amplifier system). The TV has a Mstar 64 bit MEMC chip for the display, and there are screen mirroring, built in Wi-Fi, and app store as the other inclusions. The PVR record and playback feature records the program to the USB. There’s a TCL nScreen app that helps make your smartphone as a remote control taking advantage of Wi-Fi. TCL C48P1FS 48-inch Full HD Curved Smart LED TV
The biggest of the lot, the 48-inch Full HD TV has a curved display and it has Cinema Mode, Sports Mode, Dolby Digital Plus Speaker, MHL and Bluetooth Connectivity along with Wi-Fi. There are 3 HDMI, 2 USB ports and two 8W speakers included for audio. The presence of Bluetooth allows for watching TV programs with Bluetooth headset.
There’s an alloy metal back cover and just like the 4K TV from the company, there is PVR Record and Playback for recording and saving programs to USB. The TV is priced at Rs. 37,990.
