Microsoft Surface Book cheaper model with NVIDIA GPU launched discreetly

Microsoft had unveiled the company’s very first laptop, the Surface Book which made everyone take notice with the specs and the design. Coming with a hinge design and the specifications are good enough to compete with the MacBook Pro. Microsoft has silently added a new variant in the Surface Book line up which is slightly above the base model.

The lowest variant which was earlier announced had come with an Intel HD Graphic card, the latest variant which has been announced is said to sport NVIDIA GPU and with the similar Intel i5 chipset, 8GB RAM and 128GB SSD storage. The company seems to have raised the price a little bit approximately $200 more than the base model, the new model is priced at $1,699 and includes the NVIDIA GPU.

The graphics option was available in the other three models with 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage variants which are priced between $1,899 and $3,199. This new feature will surely enhance the appeal for the Surface Book’s lower variants for users who are not willing to spend and get the higher variants. The new Graphics option will help users play higher end games and also the laptop handles the graphics better along with some high-end software like Photoshop or Video Editing software.

The Microsoft Surface Book was launched on October 6th and introduced with a multi-element hinge design which kept the screen in place and makes it easy to remove the display from the keyboard and use it as a tablet. The graphics are included in the keyboard to make the display sleeker. The Surface book is powered by the latest Intel Skylane processor with i5 or i7 based on the model with 8GB or 16GB RAM variants.

The response to Microsoft Surface Book was tremendous with the pre-order bookings finishing in a very short time. The latest variant availability is not confirmed yet.
