LYF Water 8 with 5-inch Display, 3GB RAM, 4G LTE to launch at Rs. 10999

The LYF brand from Reliance has been ever growing and thanks to the Jio 4G preview offer that is available for these devices, it isn’t only the number of phones that are growing but the sales too are. While the Water series under the LYF brand has a bunch of devices already, the next one in the lineup, i.e. the LYF Water 8 is going to launch soon.

Just like for any other LYF smartphone, the Water 8 will be offered with the free Jio 4G SIM card with the Preview Offer, under which one would be able to get free Data, Calls, and SMS for a period of three months. The phone comes with a 5-inch HD AMOLED display (1280 x 720 pixels resolution) and there is a Gorilla Glass protection over the display and the glossy back.

Under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor clocking at 1.5GHz and there is 3GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage, with a MicroSD card slot offering storage expansion. There is a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, with both the cameras having a LED flash support. Two features that the company mentions about, include Optizoom that reduces pixelation when the picture is zoomed, and ChromaFlash that is said to balance the color and brightness when using the flash for the front-facing camera.

The LYF Water 8 is backed by a 2600 mAh battery that is claimed to offer 10 hours of talk time. The company will offer two years of manufacturer warranty and as expected, there is support for 4G LTE and VoLTE feature. The OS it will run is Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, and the phone will be available in Black and White options.
