There were many rumors and leaks surrounding the new device by OnePlus which is not going be a flagship and there were many names doing the rounds like OnePlus Mini and OnePlus X. But with the October 29th event closing in with the event being held in six different cities simultaneously like New Delhi, New York, San Fransico, Beijing and Jakarta. With the latest information about OnePlus joining the Make in India initiative and joining hands with Foxconn to assemble their first OnePlus smartphone in India.
With the latest updates it seems that the device which will be the first Made in India device is going to be the OnePlus X. The parts of which will be manufactured in China but assembled in India. The images of OnePlus X was posted by a user on Weibo with the model name One E1001. The smartphone reportedly sports a 4.9-inch or 5-inch full HD display along with the Side Touch feature which we first saw on Mi 4c to launch apps or camera app by touching on the left side of the display. The presence of Synaptics S3708 touchscreen is also excepted which gives haptic feedback similar to Apple’s 3D touch ( as it is not a top end device we are not expecting this to be present in the device).

The device comes with a 1.2-watt stereo speaker along with the USB Type-C port placed on the bottom edge of the device. The NFC feature which was excluded from the OnePlus 2 might be added back in this device, and it comes with IP67 certifications along with wireless charging. It is expected to come with 32GB internal storage and no expansion option. The pricing is expected to be around $250 around the Rs. 16,000 mark to compete with the Xiaomi Mi 4c.
