Panasonic Eluga Arc with 4.7-inch HD display and Fingerprint Sensor launched

Panasonic has launched their latest smartphone in the Eluga series, the Eluga Arc which comes with a 4.7-inch HD IPS 2.5D curved display having a screen to body ratio of 71.5%. The device is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with Adreno 305GPU. The device looks like the Redmi Note 3 and the LeEco Le 1s in some aspects. It comes with a rear mounted Fingerprint sensor below the camera and flash on the back.

The Eluga Arc runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and it comes with an 8MP rear camera with LED Flash along with a 5MP front-facing camera. The device has 2GB of RAM along with further expandable up to 32GB using microSD card.

The Eluga Arc comes with Infrared Sensor which  helps in controlling home appliances. The Eluga Arc is backed by an 1800mAh battery which comes with Qualcomm Quick Charge technology letting you charge your device 75% faster than normal charging. The battery capacity is on the lower side even with Quick Charge it will be a big task to constantly keep charging your device multiple times through the day.

Commenting on the launch, Pankaj Rana, Busines Head, Mobility Division, Panasonic India, said, “This control-sensitive device, which achieves complex tasks with a single fingerprint is personalized for the user and protects the smartphone investment. Our first curved display device in the 4G/LTE series, the Arc is rich in technology innovation, including an inbuilt sensor to operate home automated appliances.”

The Panasonic Eluga is available in Gold color only and sold through online and offline retail stores across India priced at Rs. 12,490. It falls in line with the likes of Redmi Note 3, LeEco Le 1s and the Huawei Honor 5X having similar specs and in the similar price range.
