Fix Redmi Note 3 Issue: Airplane Mode not turning off

There is no perfect smartphone, which doesn’t have issues at all. Every phone has a problem that keeps annoying its users, and the latest mid-range phone from Xiaomi, the Redmi Note 3 carries enough problems though that issue is not very common and is limited to very few devices around.

We did mention about the different issues with Redmi Note 3 and the possible fixes for each, but the list seems never ending. There are specific problems with the Redmi Note 3 that we have seen a lot of users reporting about. One of them is this, the issue where the phone doesn’t search for networks after Airplane mode is turned off.

Turning the Airplane mode ON and OFF is quite easy on the device as you just have to press long the power button for that but at the same time, but after you turn it off, there is some issue on a few phones. Try restarting your phone once you see the device is not doing anything when the Airplane mode is turned off.

Next, check if the MIUI ROM installed in the device is the Chinese ROM or Global ROM. We’ve seen people complaining about the issue being the users of the Chinese ROM. The global one doesn’t seem to have the problem but still, a couple of those users who were on Global ROM had talked about this. If you are using the Chinese MIUI v7.1, you better try to update it with the Global MIUI.

The problem is not limited to this. Sometimes, the Redmi Note 3 is not connecting even to any network for a few minutes. That can still be solved by going to the respective connectivity option and turning it on, and it would still work.

The next time it doesn’t work, you are suggested to try and check if the Network settings will help you manually find the network. For that, go to Settings > SIM cards & mobile networks and search manually.

Update: Xiaomi is mentioning that the latest OTA update sent by them to the Redmi Note 3 has fixed this Network issue, and we are yet to get an answer from those users who complained about it whether the update has fixed the issue. If yes, you know the problem was not going to be solved from your side and the update was the only solution.
