Motorola has started rolling out the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS for the Moto X Play in India, Moto X Play will be getting support for new emojis, including volleyball, taco, middle finger, champagne bottle, as well as new faces for sickness, thinking, and rolling eyes.
Along with the emoji updates there are some updates for the camera app like camera shutter tone switch that lets you turn off and on the sound of the camera shutter. The update also lets you launch the camera by double-pressing the power button.
Few Android Security patches have been included as well until March 1st 2016. Stability improvements have been added to fix some bugs.The Moto X Play sports a 5.5-inch AMOLED Full HD display having resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It comes with internal storage space of 16GB expandable up to 128GB using microSD card. The device comes with 21MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front facing camera.
The Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update is called v24.61.52 for the Moto X Play and measures 387.4MB in size. The update is being released in batches and you can check you device for the update. The Moto X Play had received the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS update last year and this is the second Marshmallow related update for Moto X Play.
