Samsung Galaxy Note 5 starts receiving Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in India

Samsung has started rolling out Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to the Galaxy Note 5 in India. The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge had received the Marshmallow OS update in India last week. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS update is being rolled out as an over the air update. The update file with firmware version N920GDDU2BPC4 is 1269 MB in size which is the same one as seen in the galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.

If you did not get the update on your Galaxy Note 5 yet, you can check it out by going to Settings > About device > Software update menu and tap on Update now button to check for the update. If you have not yet received the update to your device, the update is being released in batches. With the latest update, there are many new updates like the new Touchwiz with updated usability and visual design. Advanced power saving mode restricts background data and extends battery life.

Galaxy Note 5 Android 6.0 Marshmallow update

The Galaxy Note 5 sports a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display and is powered by an octa-core Exynos 7420 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage, there is no microSD card slot. It comes with 16-megapixel camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. The device also comes with S Pen Stylus pen. The Motorola Moto X Play has also received Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update in India.
