Airtel introduces Mega Saver Pack with data recharges for Prepaid customers

That’s with a catch. You aren’t being offered the discount price directly, as you have to pay a good amount upfront and then enjoy the discount data costs for a year from there. There are two pack recharges available, and based on that pack, the data recharge cost for the next ones will be decided. Here’s how it works, and just to note, it is for Airtel prepaid customers.

The offer seems more like an attempt from Airtel to retain its subscribers so they don’t lose interest when the Jio 4G services get launched. But in the end, it becomes an economical offer for the end users.

Airtel

Rs. 748 pack

Recharge for Rs. 748 and you will get 1GB data for the first 28 days. Once that gets exhausted, the next recharge for 1GB of 3G or 4G data will cost Rs. 99, and that is the same amount you will have to pay for any number of recharges for the next six months.

Rs. 1498 pack

Recharge for Rs. 1498 and you get 1GB data for the first 28 days. Once that is exhausted, the next recharge of 1GB 3G / 4G data will cost just Rs. 51, and the cost remains the same for any number of recharges for the next 12 months.

Commenting on the newly launched offers, Ajai Puri, Director – Operations (India & South Asia), Bharti Airtel said, “At Airtel, we are constantly innovating to provide superior experience and great value to our customers. With these innovative packs, we are redefining the value proposition on our data packs and allowing our customers get a lot more within the same budget.”

This offer is already available in Delhi and it will get launched across circles by Aug 31st, 2016. You will need to check with the Airtel website to find out the costs when the official rollout happens.
