For International travelers who are not just out for some holiday but those who are regularly going for business trips, call costs are important when they have to sometimes use the Indian SIM card. These International roaming costs aren’t going to be less with any network, because they work with the foreign network and help the user get the network connectivity.
With Reliance Jio 4G network getting introduced, you might be wondering how the call costs would be, because Jio calls for free of cost. But in International roaming, this free calling does not apply and you have to pay a premium for everything.
For some of the common countries, we have made a list of tariffs for calls, data, and SMS when you visit there and use the Jio SIM.

How do I activate International roaming on Jio SIM?
For now, you don’t have to do anything and until the Jio commercial launch happens on Jan 1st, 2017, you won’t be able to do anything on Jio while roaming. Only after you see the launch, there will be options available, though recently, most of the networks have removed that option and they directly connect to the local network in the roaming country because there is no need to activate International roaming.
For local roaming, is there going to be a different cost?
Since calls are all free on Jio 4G network, you won’t be charged irrespective of which state you are in India. And for the data, you will be charged the same as it is in your local place.

Can you suggest which phones are compatible with Jio network?
If you have a smartphone that has 4G LTE connectivity, that is usually enough to get the Jio network and data on it, but if you want to make voice and video calls on the Jio 4G network, the phone should have the VoLTE feature. VoLTE is Voice-over-LTE, which is required to make the calls happen on data network.

I was using JIO sim card in INDIA. Recently i came to Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia, but my sim card not connecting any local networks neither in automatic connection or manual connection, i tried for both options. It’s showing unable to connect for available network and emergency calls only. Please suggest how can i use JIO sim in Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia.
