Built and Design of the Intex iRist Smartwatch:

The built of the Intex iRist Smartwatch is pretty top notch, as is worth praising for, considering the price.

The 1.56 inch display is Sapphire coated, which resists the screen from getting broken or scratched. Metal is used in the sides and rear portion of the device, and the wrist wrap is made of Rubber.

Apart from the display, there is a 5 MP camera and a Power key which is located to the side of the watch. To charge the iRist’s battery, there is a proprietary magnetic charging port in the rear of the device.

As this Smartwatch accepts a Micro SIM card, there is an internal microphone and a pretty loud speaker, which can help you in attending calls from your Smartwatch (pretty weird anyhow!), and yeah! the iRist is IP 65 rated for its dust and water resistance.

The Software Features and Performance of the Intex iRist:

The Intex iRist runs on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat with a custom Watch launcher on top. Apart from the launcher, every other design aspect looks stock-like.

There are 11 watch faces available by default. And you will also be able to download and use compatible apps from the Google Play Store, or even sideload them from an external SD card.

As for the features regarding the Micro SIM, calling and text messaging can be done from the watch. And for texting, there is a stock Android keyboard available. However, texting from such a small display will be not an attraction to many. You can also create a WiFi hotspot using the iRist, to enjoy the speeds it provide.

The Smartwatch is snappy and performs all common tasks without hesitation, and for the 5 MP camera available in the iRist Smartwatch, it is quite good enough to satisfy the numerable people who wants to take photos from a Smartwatch anyway.

The battery provided in the iRist is of 600 mAh, technically a much larger battery than what we see on other Smartwatches today. However, the iRist is more like a mini Smartphone than a Smartwatch. Thus, one should not be expecting stellar battery performance from this device, especially if you are planning to use the iRist for texting, taking photos and video streaming a lot, No Pun Intended. However, the battery should last you a day at most.

When and How can I buy myself an Intex iRist?

For the 12,000 Rupee price tag, the Intex iRist is quite a compelling Smartwatch. And if you are interesting in getting yourself one, then the Intex iRist will go on sale from this August exclusively on Ebay.in.
