Misfit Announces The $20 Flash Link Activity Tracker and Link App

Premium wearable tech manufacturers, Misfit, today unveiled the Misfit Link application, which is aimed at bringing even more functionalities to the company’s cheaper sleep and activity tracking device, the Misfit Flash.

With the help of the Link application, the Flash tracker can be used as a Bluetooth controlled smart switch for your Smartphone, thus helping you perform activities like take pictures, play/pause music etc.

The company also said that, they would bring even more features to the Flash tracker via the Link application, by partnering with Logitech Harmony and IFTTT [If This Then That], which is a very popular task completing application for iOS and Android.

Moreover, if the Misfit Flash seemed like an expensive fitness tracker to you, then the company is also bringing a much cheaper Flash Link activity tracker, which would still be compatible with the Link App to work as a smart switch as well.

Misfit Flash Link WearableAnd as of their existing product lineup, prices of the Misfit Shine and the Misfit Flash wearables have been cut down significantly from $100 and $50 to $70 and $30 respectively.

If you are not familiar with the Misfit Shine and Misfit Flash activity and sleep tracking wearables, the only difference between them is of built quality.

The Misfit Flash is made up of plastic, is lighter and features a clip-like locking mechanism. Whereas, the Misfit Shine is made of premium aluminium and is also water resistant with a bracelet-like locking mechanism for the wearable.
