ASUS ROG GX700, world’s first Liquid-cooled laptop launched in India

ASUS ‘Republic of Gamers’ has announced their launch of the world’s first liquid-cooled gaming laptop, the ASUS ROG GX700. The premium flagship laptop comes with a detachable ROG-exclusive Hydro Overclocking System cooling module.

There is a 17-inch real 4K UHD display with NVIDIA G-SYNC for smooth, stunning visuals. For this too, the laptop is said to be the world’s first having this combination of display and G-SYNC. Internally, the laptop is powered by 6th-generation Intel Mobile K-SKU (Skylake) processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 graphics card.

Having a dedicated liquid-cooling system not just helps keep the temperature in check but it also helps in overclocking the CPU. The CPU can be overclocked by up to 48% and the 64GB DDR4 memory can be overclocked by up to 43%.

As for the liquid cooling system, the ROG GX700 has liquid-cooling dock based on a custom self-sealing valve design, along with a pump and dual 92mm radiators capable of dissipating over 500W of heat. It is not a compulsion to always use the liquid-cooling dock and one can take advantage of the traditional cooling system packed into the laptop if the dock isn’t needed all the time.

It the Windows 10 64bit OS that runs on the laptop and the ports included in the GX700 laptop are 1x Microphone-in jack 1x Headphone-out jack, 1x RJ45 LAN Jack for LAN insert, 1x HDMI, 1x mini Display Port, 1x USB3.1-Type C(Gen2) with Thunderbolt, and 3 x USB 3.0 ports.

As for the software, there is a lot packed inside the GX700, including McAfee Internet Security(Trial version), Gaming Center, ASUS Smart Gesture, ASUS Splendid, ICEsound, ASUS WebStorage Sync Agent, ROG MacroKey, Steam, USB Charger+, ASUS Sonic Suite, and CyberLink PowerDVD 12.

A gaming mouse and a gaming suitcase are given as free accessories along with the laptop, and the premium gaming laptop isn’t available anywhere else other than Asus online store, that too on request. The price is set at Rs. 412990.

ASUS had recently come up with its ROG series in India, with a few laptops including ASUS ROG GL552 and the ASUS ROG GL752.
