Samsung Galaxy J1 ACE with 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display available

Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace is all set to enter the Indian market in the budget category. The Galaxy J1 is going to sport a Super AMOLED display which has never been used in any budget smartphone by Samsung, maybe it is a gesture to take on the competition in the budget category which is fierce.

Coming to the specifications, the Galaxy J1 Ace comes with a 4.3-inch WVGA super AMOLED display with a resolution of 480×800 pixels. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core Marvell PXA1908 processor supported by an under powered 512MB RAM. The device comes with 4GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 64GB using microSD card.

The Galaxy J1 runs on Android KitKat 4.4, it supports Dual SIM and connectivity features like 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The smartphone has a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and auto-focus feature. It comes with 2MP front-facing camera as well. The galaxy J1 measures 130.1×67.6×9.5mm in dimensions and weighs 128 grams in weight. It is powered by a 1800mAh battery which also comes with Ultra Power saving mode which we have seen in other Samsung devices to increase battery life by turning off all background functions and only use a list of pre-set apps.

The Galaxy J1 device is priced at Rs. 6,400 from offline stores and the launch date of the device will be announced soon. The Galaxy J1 will be available in two colors – Black and White. the device is launched in the budget category which is already packed with many devices with competitive features. the Galaxy J1 will go up against the likes of Redmi 2, Moto E and some of the Android One devices which have far better specifications compared to this device. A 512MB RAM for the smartphone with a super AMOLED display is a strange strategy by Samsung which seems to be going backwards in terms of upgrades by decreasing the power of the processor and RAM.
