Xiaomi launched their new budget range smartphone on 20th March named Redmi 4A. As the name says, it’s not an update to the Redmi 3S but to the Redmi 2 of theirs. It comes with a 5-inch 720p display along with 16GB internal storage and 2GB of RAM.

The MIUI 8 in the Redmi 4A has a lot of customization options. These options make it difficult to use for the older people and those who are new to this smart world. And, this feature would come handy when you are in survival situations as it saves a lot of battery.

Here’s how to get into Lite mode

Firstly, you will have to make sure that you saved all your background processes as the device will reboot once you get into the Lite mode.

After that, go into Settings> Lite mode> and turn it on. You will be notified that your device will reboot to enter into Lite mode. Press Ok, and after rebooting you will be in the Lite mode.

Here, you have Weather information, Gallery, Camera, Calculator, and Music which will run on the same UI as the normal mode if opened. The dialer, Messages, Contacts, Settings, and Apps have their custom lite UI which is very easy to use.

You can move through the Lite mode by swiping left and right. Swiping to the right, you can have particular contacts set up for quick dial. All you have to do is, click on Add, then add a new contact or choose from your contacts.
