LG unveils worlds first 98-inch 8K TV at CES 2016

It has been raining TV’s at CES, there is another TV which has got everyone’s attention, it is a 98-inch TV sporting an amazing 8K resolution. The other TV’s which are worth noticing at CES are LG’s OLED TV under Signature lineup which is just 2.5mm thick. LETV’s Super 4 Max65 4K LED TV which is being called the world’s slimmest 4K LED TV.

The full working TV from LG was at display in CES 2016 all 98-inches of the 8K resolution display was showcased there. It comes with resolution of 7680 x 4320 pixels which is 16 times of a normal Full HD Television having 1080p display. And when compared to the latest 4K resolution display’s it is four times the resolution, which is mind blowing.

With many company’s and market just coming to terms with 4K Ultra HD TV’s, LG is pushing the technology market by unveiling the 8K resolution TV. At the moment there is not much of 4K resolution content available in the market and releasing an 8K. There was another TV with 8K resolution by Sharp sporting an 85-inch TV displayed way back in 2012 at CES. The other TV was an 145-inch 8K plasma TV by Panasonic at IFA 2012. Samsung also showed off their98-inch 8K TV at CES 2014.

With 4K satellite broadcast just starting in Japan we can be sure that 8K resolution is far away in terms of commercial use. There are Cameras with 8K recording option coming up in the market by companies like Sony and NHK. Red Digital Cinema Cameras have also announced that 8K action camera will be coming shortly. So with cameras getting ready to shoot 8K footage, the need for 8K Televisions is necessary.
