The brand new Mi Band 2 features a newer design language and sports an innovative touch button along with upgraded pedometer algorithm. The last fine tunes the step detection mechanism and helps in the most accurate measurement of your daily activities and exercises by canceling out unnecessary movements. The brand new 0.42-inch OLED display can be used to show the clock, heart rate, number of footsteps and battery percentage.

There is also a heart rate sensor along with an inbuilt motion detector. This will perfectly monitor your pulse automatically during your daily activities. Speaking of the battery life, Xiaomi’s latest wearable lasts for 20 days long on a single charge. This is way more than that of its competitors. On the paper, the Lithium polymer battery cell has a capacity of 70mAh. Sporting the IP67 certification, the Mi Band 2 is resistant to damages from liquids and dust. For connectivity, the smart fitness wear utilizes Bluetooth 4.0 BLE. It comes with a hypo-allergic silicon band similar to the previous Mi Band and weighs around 70 grams.

The newest wearable can be used to instantly unlock your Android smartphone without the need of any password or fingerprint. We’ve been testing the Mi Band 2 since about a month and yet to charge the band since the first day when it was fully charged. About 30% of battery is still left, and this is a promising battery life, even though there is a display to quickly show you the time, your step count, and even vibrate with call notification when connected to the phone. The battery drain should be faster when the connectivity is always there, but we haven’t used it for notifications a lot.

The review of the Mi Band 2 will be soon up, and we will let you know how well does it fare against the competitors. The brand new wearable will be available on 27th September from the official mi.com and on 30th September at Amazon.in. In both the places, the sale will commence at 12 noon.
